# Skill. Tactics. No excuses. RETAKE is a competitive multiplayer FPS from Codnyx Studio, bringing classic movement and community-server culture together with responsive gunplay and tactical team play. Read the map, hold your angle and make the round count. Built around equal loadouts and readable combat, RETAKE puts the focus on the decisions you make with your squad. # One life. Five players. Every angle matters. 5v5 Search & Destroy is the competitive heart of RETAKE. Attack or defend two bomb sites, commit to a plant, hold the retake or find the final defuse. There are no respawns during the round. Team Deathmatch, Free-for-All, Capture the Flag and Domination are also part of the game’s development lineup. # Movement you can master. Lean into an angle, control your momentum and learn the routes that turn a close round. RETAKE combines deliberate movement, material penetration and configurable loadouts with a clear, restrained HUD. Competitive, Standard, Realism and Classic presets explore different movement and combat rulesets. # Fair fights start with the foundations. Combat is resolved by the server. Visibility-based networking is designed to limit the hidden-opponent information sent to each player, while bounded server rewind helps validate shots under latency. The design targets 128 Hz official servers. Public matchmaking is planned around connection quality, region, party and input, without a hidden skill rating. These systems remain in development and will be refined through testing. # Your squad. Your server. Your rules. Dedicated servers, LAN hosting, direct connect and a server browser are central to RETAKE’s community-first approach. Server administration and player votes give groups ways to organize their matches. Community mod support and a separate modded-server pool are planned for future development. # Help shape the next round. RETAKE is currently in pre-alpha. Closed alpha testing comes first, followed by a planned open beta. Testers will help refine movement, maps, gunplay and online play; community feedback will help set priorities for future features. Testing dates and pricing will be announced separately. Wishlist RETAKE to follow its release, and join the community for development updates and future testing opportunities. # Development status and artwork RETAKE is in active development. Features, availability, visuals and the roadmap may change. This page includes a capture from a playable development build alongside promotional artwork and map concepts. Concept art illustrates visual direction rather than available gameplay. Alpha participation will be announced separately; wishlisting does not grant test access.
