You are **Tlatoani**, a divine Aztec leader, born to shape the destiny of your people. **Construct** and **develop** the majestic city-state of **Tenochtitlan** - built amidst the waters of **Lake Texcoco**. **Reclaim valuable land**, **feed your people**, **raise monumental structures**, and maintain vital **trade routes** that connect your floating empire to the outside world in the **Valley of Mexico**. Yet beyond these petty struggles looms a far **greater threat**: the **Moon Goddess** has declared war upon the Sun, casting a **dreadful curse** upon your followers. Only blood, spilled through **human sacrifice**, can summon a **shield of protection** - but its power is fleeting.
