This happened because real-time AI voice generation is extremely resource-intensive and cannot be sustainably covered by a one-time game purchase. A player buys the game once, but can talk to the Virtual Girlfriend for hours. To solve this fairly — especially for players who value voice interaction — we are happy to introduce Voice Credits in the Epic Games Store version of the game. Voice Credits are an in-game currency used exclusively for AI voice responses. If you want to hear her voice, it is now available 24/7, without interruptions.
